The thing that I run into a fair bit among women older than me is that they have no idea about the basics of benevolent/ambivalent misogyny and how they interact with it all day long. They also don’t really get things like “equity.”

Will never happen—and not because of anything related to gender. The history of the world is of marginalized groups re-marginalizing subsets of their own populations. Women are not unique in failing to come together as a people. We are talking about 50% of the population, afterall. Not exactly a small population.
