FDNY ambulance is $704, waived if you don’t have insurance. Taking an Uber (or cab) was thoughtless and irresponsible of this woman, especially if it was to save money that wouldn’t have come out of her pocket anyway.

Organized religion, to me, is devoid of peace since it’s predicated on the submission to some nonexistent entity that devalues the independent human spirit.
Any Emergency Response/EMT readers here? The fact that she impaled her leg and was pulled free by a non First Responder fills me with horror; if it had hit an artery, she could have bled out when the object was removed (or in this case, she was removed from it).
And, frankly, i am tired of people saying they are a religion when they practice like 4 percent of it. I stopped saying im jewish, im not, i prqctice like 4 percent of that religion. I tell people now im ashkanazi because its more honest. You and your family sound like the equivelant of fair weather fans, as are most…
I’ll call you whatever you want! At our studio we offer optional metrics and a leaderboard so I’ll shout out to tiredmom and slowpoke or my personal fav whyamidoingthis.
“I greet all my students and try to learn their names so I can give them a shout out in class.”
I had a hysterectomy and they used staples, cut across my abdomen. About 15. 50 staples is a lot! I’m not taking up for either the woman, or exercise class, but if she had that many, she was in tremendous pain, and probably shock. So I don’t think she would be able to call anyone!
The horrible music at gyms/ health clubs in general is a deal breaker for me, but the ridiculously high SPLs mentioned here also suggest some sort of noise torture/ submission approach, which makes the whole thing sound pretty cult-y.
Maybe the music was Cannibal Corpse or Gwar? It all blended in together.
I hope that poor Uber got 5 stars.
Yeah 50 staples is a huge wound. I had a 4-5 inch gash that took 11 staples to close, so her’s was far more severe.
I teach boutique cycling at a Soul Cycle competitor. I greet all my students and try to learn their names so I can give them a shout out in class. I look at my students during the class and check that they are riding safely. I get off my bike (it’s not my workout) and walk around the room at least twice. During the…
You would be wrong. The Indian army maintains a Sikh regiment of 19 battalions.
Not sure why you think staples aren’t commonly used to close a variety of minor and major wounds.
Fat people exercise, too.
A friend brought me to a SoulCycle class once and I am 100% not surprised no one helped or called an ambulance. This woman there told me that anyone that comes between you and your exercise is LITERALLY TRYING TO KILL YOU because, according to her, fat people are jealous and don’t want other people to make them feel…
I’ve taken one SoulCycle class. (I’m an outdoor cyclist and have taken thousands of regular spinning classes, but one SoulCycle class was enough for me - the branding doesn’t justify the expense. Two SoulCycle classes cost more than my monthly gym membership and spin classes don’t cost extra at my gym.) There were…
Right? Who knows what kind of cocktail of bodily fluids are in the back of that Corolla?
There is so much wtf-ery in this story. Who the fuck lets a woman who just had her leg impaled catch a fucking Uber to the hospital?
Peaceful? You do realize the warrior-archetype looms large amongst Sikhs, right? You might have them confused with the Jain, they’re the pacifist ones.
