I think it was the most well-written game in the past years. Add to that the performances of the actors, the technical mastery of the developers, and you have a game that raised the bar for video games.

And that is a very compelling story/character-journey in a post-apocalyptic world where survival is not easy.

I do have to say that i absolutely loved TLoU2, I think it did everything right. Very good story and character development, tight gameplay and amazing visuals, just to name a few of the things why it deserved game of the year.
