This sucks, I love their shoes and there is a store across the street from me which is one of the very few physical stores I ever go to anymore.

I really enjoy “Stuff You Missed in History Class” from the How Stuff Works network. The hosts are great, they pick interesting topics, and I think the episodes are the perfect length for me. I’m working through their backlog as well as listening forward but it’s going to take me years because there are SO MANY…
This is great and I love it.
I like to make something similar in the winter using hot lemon tea instead of lemon juice
My punchline is threefold:
That works to a certain extent but I know several people who manage little free libraries (almost none of them are managed by cities, but actually by a nearby person) and they have to spend a lot of time weeding out books that sit in the box for years because no one wants them. Books like that end up in the recycling…
I’m not surprised that Lyft knows nothing about DC after receiving this email last week
Also check out your local library book sales (anything from a big yearly sale to a small shelf in the back). They will have lots of books for very cheap prices, and will often have classics that people have donated to the library. My local library has paperbacks for 10 cents and hardbacks for 25 cents.
Thanks for this! #3 is a huge problem that I have and #4 is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Not only do I get 1-5 spam calls from local numbers per week, I also get hateful calls from real people with local numbers accusing me of spam calling them because spam callers are spoofing my phone number. It’s a nightmare. I report them all to donotcall.gov , but there’s not much they can do about it.
Also returning:
The season finale of Dark Matter was last week, that’s a clip of a previous episode.
The real lesson here is to always call someone out when they cut in front of you, and if they ask if they can cut, say no.
I figured out that a cake’s icing was purple when I looked at myself in the mirror and the lower half of my face had purple splotches on it.
A lot of foods that are “black” (like black icing) are actually very dark purple. And I’m fine with that.
My neighborhood Nextdoor is entirely people complaining about other people’s dogs (barking, pooping, being outside, etc.) so I think I’ll pass.
maybe Southie?
DC Public Library has this too, as well as thousands of other libraries. You can look up your library here:
Thousands of other libraries have it as well. And if your library doesn’t, you can ask them to get it.
This is good advice but I don’t understand what it has to do with back-to-school shopping? How does minimizing the amount of mementos that you save from the school year prevent your kids from running wild in the school supply section at Target?
