    I looked at the SS with great interest, but it was too much cash, and there wasn't a lease program available, so I decided to go with a very nice low mileage 09' G8 GT for less than half that price instead. Similar car- the G8 is the Commodore VE, while the SS is the Commodore VF.

    the car is good, but people who want it can't buy it at that price point ($45k), so people who want it buy a nice, used G8 instead.

    Sometimes bad things happen. Hopefully for everyone (Dealership included) it gets resolved instead of further escalated. Bummer.

    I was t having an argument. You were trying to say "torque fill isn't a thing" it absolutely is "a thing" and I explained that, quite well.

    The NSX also uses its hybrid system for torque fill, like the McLaren P1. They say it has constant thrust, like a Tesla that doesn't top out. The engine and electric motors work together to keep torque constant, they call it an instant launch.

    I think what he is saying, without saying it is that Nissan is focused on the working vehicle segment rather than the niche performance offroad segment.
