She may be evil. But goddammit, she’s an evil GENIUS.

Power. See how quick officer McSmalldick attacks the nurse after the person on the phone tells him he’s making a mistake? Officer McSmalldick believes he’s entitled to whatever he wants, and how dare you stand in the way.

is not a police department that is going to make any positive changes without being compelled to.

I hate that you’re likely right. In our society, nurse Wubbles is most likely to get the result of the department taking appropriate action by suing over Detective Payne’s conduct. I share your doubt that any internal investigation will have teeth to change his behavior in the future, but a sizable settlement payment

...they wanted to help a pal out and draw blood that would prove he was clean...

Scumbag Cop Gets Away With Being A Scumbag, news at 11.

The fact that Payne was trying to force a blood sample from the victim of a crime makes this whole thing even worse.

As-fucking-if.

They should get fired, but they won’t.

Once Payne and his superior who pushed him are fired and unable to find another job, then I’ll believe in that “goodness of society”.

Yep. I am fully aware that nostalgia is the opiate of the masses and I say to that “bring that fucking  Will and Grace mind blur on.” The world is difficult to navigate right now, Karen and Jack are the Oxycomedy I want.

The whole goddamn thing is Odin’s fault, really. He set his sons up for rivalry from the time he adopted Loki (which, BTW, he admitted was only for a future political gain) - telling them that they were both destined for the throne, but only one could attain it. What did he THINK would happen, especially given that

Just coming here to brag I saw Ben Whishaw as Hamlet in 2004 and he was.brilliant.

I did NOT get his appeal till I saw Hollow Crown., and I was so incredibly impressed. It is one of my favorite Shakespeare series.

Tom is my current bf when he’s doing Shakespeare. He could be a serial killer and then shoot out a sonnet or 2 and I’d be like “Wellll-l-l-....just try not kill any more people?”

FWIW, I’m pretty sure Odin’s dead now (thanks Loki!) so Hopkins may be out of that kettle of fish. Not that I care - Odin was an asshole anyway. :)

Toms take on the character was Directed by Branagh, who was definitely trying to infuse it with some Shakespearean undertones

The Cumberbatch Hamlet was fucking brilliant. Frankly, I thought Ciaran Hinds stole the show. I have seen Branagh’s Hamlet film and I will be very curious to see what he does with this—hope they do the live screening of the play like RADA did for that Hamlet.

He’s sooooooo corny...but I still probably would, even after everything.
