Not an empty phrase if you start with the conclusion of an event to peak interest in what took place. It's all about storytelling. Which this article has never heard of.

"That being said" may be used as an indicator of change in direction or exposing ones ability to see that what was just said may not be the entire truth.
It is used to stress importance, not emphasize certainty.
How boring literature would be if we cut off the crunchy bits and boiled it all down to machine-code...
That's not proper utilization of the word use. There is a difference.
I think too many people get into creative crafts with the preconception that they should instantly be creative and create something revolutionary. I think it is more important to learn a new craft by being productive - rather than creative. Hone the basic skills by being productive.
Two Heinleins, but no Stranger in a Strange Land?
You can add Pressy to that list. They did somehow deliver, but a lot of customers got an empty cardboard box. Gently squeeze it, and the contents would drop out. Clever! I guess those who bothered jumping through flaming hoops with CS got a replacement one. Thought I had one coming as well... but that was half a year…
Part of the trick with wool is that you really don't have to wash it a lot. Just hang it up and let it properly air out, and it will rid itself of any B.O. Washing wool too often only breaks down the fibers.
Doesn't take a full hour to write 'procrastinate' 5 times :(
Stop stealing ideas from my dustfilter/crotchless pantyhose business!
That one GIF shows some true passion for the animation craft. Brilliant.
Not entirely in the spirit of the article, I know. I usually plaster my secondary screen with Pnotes for quick to-do lists and reminders. Color code them as you please. Especially with to-do lists, its sort of essential to keep them visible. A bunch of open notepads just clutters my desktop and brain.
G602 is very nice indeed. Perfect mix of ergonomics and buttons for me. HOWEVER!!! Just wait till your wheel click stops working. Google it. The problem seems as common as dirt. Such a shame. It's the first Logitech product that ever broke on me.

I wish Logitech would make an updated G13. It's good, but not perfect. Another row of buttons up top would be great. Doesn't have to be a full row, even. Another button to the left of G20 would be nice. Currently it doesn't really have a "CTRL" key. And why not throw some of them Romer keys in there?

You had me until I realized you were not talking about buying senseless junk en masse. Don't get me wrong. You make a good point. I'm just a bit on edge about these things around Christmas time. I have to get my nieces and nephew something, and I don't want to simply add to their pile of soul-less plastic toys.
Sometimes Lifehacker reads like a training manual for sociopathic man-machines.
Great write-up. I feel that people who don't suffer depression or know anyone who do, have a tendency to confuse a couple of bad days with depression. While it may indeed be called "depression", it's hardly a clinical diagnosis. Nor is it as crippling as true depression can be. It's very easy for those who confuse it…
Maybe it's so "new" that the ones who currently are best at it also are great programmers to begin with? I'm just speculating here.
It would help if the feelings were sincere. Like the first "happy". Looks like someone just told him to smile.
