Watch Dogs is also an excellent game, people just need to moderate their hype.

Except that the primary reason everybody likes Steam is that it centralizes everything. The reason Origin/etc. hasn't taken off is that gamers just don't want to be running multiple storefronts, libraries, and splitting their chat amongst numerous friends lists.

People complain of 'cheating' AI, but I'm honestly amazed the game lets the AI do the same ludicrous maneuvers you can as a player. Of course, 99 times out of 100 that police car would have been toast in that situation, lucky bounce.

What are you doing to get the cops after you outside of a mission that's anymore more than a '1 star' offense (which is very easy to ditch)?

So excited for Shovel Knight! This was the first project I backed on Kickstarter, awesome finally seeing it come to light.

1001 Spikes is a fantastic game with a lot of content and well worth the $15, I don't see why that's ridiculous.

I believe the multiplayer is already free, to add to the single-player only comment.

The top promoted comment (and the one shown by default) is another Kotaku writer praising the article that hasn't played the game, with a black and white opinion. I'm not really sure what to say about that, but yikes. Between that and not getting a review copy when so many were distributed, really makes it seem like

If the reviewer spent more time playing the game than trying to find headlines, he probably would have enjoyed it more. TL;DR at the bottom.

I have to say as I've spent more time in the game I started paying more attention to the Profiler notes. I started off just hacking everything I could and letting exploding electronics deal with a lot of guards. The longer I play though the more I check some of those notes and change up my strategy.

Yes, it's ridiculous and glorious. There's a variety of reactions that result from it as well, ranging from throwing it at you (or their own buddy, which is hilarious) if you're in range, to just submitting to their fate.

Season Pass issue was in fact fixed up for me automatically on PS4. Pretty minor thing, but it was nice to get a notification about it.

I'm honestly impressed at how far along this looks for still being a year out. I'm not entirely sold on the 'dash as an attack function' mechanic, but everything's looking great so far.

Virtual Console is one of those things I feel is hideously underutilized. I know they've split up the titles a lot to try to incentivize more Wii U players, but I really wish they'd add SNES titles to the 3DS. Hell, I just wish they'd add more stuff to the VC across all platforms, it's such a great idea. I'll

I like this change as it adds a lot more consistency to the service, though I'm a little disappointed with the first month's PS4 offerings. I love me some Pixeljunk Shooter and I'll be happy to play through it again on PS4, but I feel like Trine is one of those games that's almost impossible to actually pay for these

I'm probably old or a seasoned enough gamer to not be suckered by every game's hype that it's the messiah of gaming. Is the game super-revolutionary? No, but it does do a lot of really cool things. The game is also gorgeous, especially when you consider the sheer number of moving parts.

I'm really having a lot of fun with the game. Is it more or less just GTA with hacking? Yes, though it's a bit more akin to Sleeping Dogs. Even at that though, it's just a lot of fun to play.

Powerful as the PS4 is, its operating system already chugs a bit when I'm switching quickly between games and apps. It seems to be particularly burdened by the Music Unlimited app, which is supposed to enable music-streaming while you're playing games.

Oh yeah I completely agree with that. The PR line for this has been absurd and hyping it for almost 2 years, making for unrealistic expectations. I think this is one of those games that will review well, people that actually play it will enjoy it, but it'll forever have a stigma attached to it publicly because of

I guess I'm at the point where I'm okay with every game not being Shakespeare, so articles like this just make me think, "If this really bothers you, why do you even play video games anymore?". Sometimes fun is just fun, even if it's not entirely novel in every aspect.
