That's actually a pretty good outcome! I accidentally shifted my Miata from 3rd to 2nd trying to go into 4th the other day. The engine probably revved to 10k and the wheels locked up. Luckily I popped it into neutral before any real damage was done. My excuse is I've only been driving manual for a month. ;)
