I think people fancy themselves sharks circling Nintendo in the waters, hoping that these mobile games/third party predictions come true. They want to play a Nintendo game or two, but aren't willing to buy a Nintendo console.

I don't know that they're "fine" the ds/3ds/wii were money printing machines, but if the wii u doesn't pick up this holiday season they may have to reevaluate their home console plans and look to shorten the life span to maaayyybbe 4 years. They simply can't afford to be cocky, just look at RIM.
