DWVR mentions motion controls/VR stuff. I would guess “We Sing” has something accessory related going on too just based on the name. Besides that maybe some questionable ports/engines?

Chrome feature updates are so weird. As the most mainstream browser they don’t seem to think people can handle anything more than the slightest change when they could just include more options and leave the default as is. If you really need tab management then Chrome is not the browser for you.

Right, in certain circumstances I’m sure they want to cover their ass, but that’s not standard.

My apologies I didn’t phrase this in the typical gamer extremism like you’re used to and provided a nuanced look at a complex subject.

Wow, what have you purchased online that requires ID? Phone number is certainly common for verification/2FA though. Shouldn’t your bigger concern be the ethics of using a sites like Eneba/CDkeys in the first place which are almost certainly doing something nefarious to get prices this low?

Luke only has the information that’s in the tweet.

It was not clear your original post was making a speculation/joke. I think they’re certainly not going to stop producing these cards so to some degree this should not be a problem over some amount of time but certainly the time span for that will vary as will people’s perceptions about what a shortage entails.

Even if they mean “fiscal year” that’s still not far into 2021. Your interpretation is odd. The sourced article explains this clearly right before that line:

Here’s the dismissed post mentioned that they have no reply to.

Dismissing a reply that proves you’re not very informed on the subject matter and show a complete lack of empathy for developers doesn’t change the fact that your take is out of step with reality.

This is true for older hardware not so much for anything recent. Everything tapers off now before it hits 100%, lets it fall back to 95%, before going back up, or something other similar methods. I would only worry about this on the cheap end of electronics. Li-ion tech will definitely be replaced in a few years

Those animations are models are for a game with a different art style from a different team that might not work correctly with the forked version of the engine they used in Pokemon Sword and Shield without additional work. So yes, there are technical reasons, but the bigger reasons is that doing all of that work takes

They’ve given real reasons. Why do you consider them arbitrary? This is below the standard of a Kotaku comment where I’d expect you to have some understanding of the game development process as they have many articles that inform you about this.

FYI after I posted this I discovered the Ars Technica write-up which is more technical. I’d recommend checking that out as it filled in some of my guesses with real answers.

My friends who play games a few days a week instead of daily seem to have a few games in their rotation at a time to give a more casual perspective. I usually play something daily and I have a few games going at once. Usually to hit different genres/moods.

That’s nothing to be proud of. So much of the conversation and culture around gaming is toxic. Why add to it? Typically I come to Kotaku to avoid this.

As I said the article states this. Is clicking through and ctrl + F “USB” really that tough? It took me seconds. Do that instead of relying on other people who could easily be lying to you.

The linked article directly states you can transfer back and forth. Same situation for PS5.

Microsoft confirmed earlier this year that while existing external hard drives will be compatible with the Series X and S for Xbox One, 360, and Xbox games, next-gen games will only work off of proprietary SSD drives.”
