The streaming apps directly compete with Apple Arcade.

For the SSD the TBW (how much data you can write to it over time) is very low for a drive that size. It’s going to be worth it to spend a few more bucks on a better brand and drive. Modern SSDs should last you ten years.

In general I would say go standard instead of Ultimate. If we stop getting awesome sales on Ultimate I was going to switch to standard. However, Ultimate does have this:

Based on the wording of “will” and no indication of anything else online I’m guessing in the future there will be a Microsoft/Xbox option on the Join page: https://www.ea.com/ea-play?join-now=true

1) A press release is a statement from the company, not the people actually working on it, so isn’t representative of a creative project like this. Given the importance of this to the book it should have been mentioned in those 2 sentences from the creatives.

I’m gonna back the person who is saying read this series and then go NK Jemisin if you haven’t read her. I did that path and it completely re-wired my brain on how SF can work. I’ve only read The Three Body Problem, not the rest of that series, but I’d recommend it as well. Compared to the rest of what we’re talking

So far they seem intent on making little changes as they go and listening to the community. Well done not just having a game blow up but actually sticking with it and keeping it fresh.

Wow I don’t even know what year to date this comment. 2008? 2009? It has been a very long time since I’ve seen this incredibly poorly though out comment. Hell, one of the reasons why I mainly on comment on Kotaku is that there isn’t much of this and people actually have somewhat of an understanding of the game

I understand why games would leave the service but I wish they gave more time to let you know. I think it’s only about 2 weeks notice.

This whole beat does not seem to be directed towards Kotaku regulars. Just throwing up an article like this is going to get them hits. I hope Nathan isn’t going crazy having to look into this drama whenever it pops up.

>Besides the only thing we should be bitching about everyday until it changes on Kotaku is the layout change and it drives me crazy that people accept that they can bookmark latest and just ignore and give Spamfeller a win.

Reading these articles I get the impression Nathan’s s assigned to this beat. The writing’s a bit cold compared to Nathan’s other articles. Occasionally, there is a bit of tone of “holy shit this is ridiculous” but I think they try and avoid that and keep it “professional” despite this being a subject many of us are

I am absolutely baffled how you’re conflating completely different projects from completely different studios and companies. This is like saying you’re not sure about a new Mario game because Sega’s last Sonic game wasn’t too great.

People browse websites like this instead of using a feed reader?

Sam can go to unnecessary extremes at times. Not the most consistent writer.

I did this in order and still got frustrated here because even when you can get down to the elevator later in the level you don’t know that until you get down to that part. It’s a problem no matter how far you’ve gotten in the game but it’s certainly worse for people who went to this level early.

Definitely glad I rented this one. This sort of stuff should have been found through extensive testing and changed but they had to put this out in the middle of Star Wars hype and not delay it. I’m sure someone made the executive decision that it was good enough. I think overall that’s true but these little
