They did say that at one point, but I also remember them mentioning in more recent interviews that they'd like Online to not only revisit the locations of earlier games, but also "whole new cities or even countries." (I believe one of those was posted here, maybe a month or so before the game was released) They

They are still promising to keep supporting GTA Online for many years, and for as long as people still play it & want to see more..Rockstar tends to keep their promises more than others in the business do, so I certainly hope it doesn't die out too soon to see what they've got up their sleeves in long term plans.

I have a feeling Liberty City would be one of the first city additions to online, since quite a few of the movies you can watch are done there (still in GTA IV engine from the looks of it, but still), and they did state "everything they've ever done or will do", so if that's not a confirmation of Liberty, Vice, San

Well, I personally didn't even know about it or look at it until the countdown was at about 10 days, completely missing the previous errors. A bit late to the disappointment party on that one.

Why so serious?

Eh, I do agree, but even with all of the flaws, I gotta applaud how successful he was in his goal.

"Let's say five years from now, the new consoles will have seven year old hardware.." Does that not mean the tech would already be 2 years old right now, or am I not reading that the right way?

Fair points, no arguing that..though I doubt if a console came out 5 years from today, it would only be using tech that's already 2 years old today. That's my point though, the consoles can promise you're not going to need a hardware upgrade for somewhere in the range of a decade..a PC can not realistically make that

So what you're saying is it's entirely possible to build a PC that's powerful enough to handle every single game released for it the way they were all intended to be played within the next decade, without needing a single hardware upgrade in the meantime, and at only $400? Because that's what a console is meant to

Exactly, the games are becoming too advanced for the PS3/360, that's why the next gen launches were needed. That was just the powerful, cross platform example I decided to use. (Can't exactly say what kind of PCs can handle Halo 4 when there's no such version, or even GTAV for that matter just yet)

Perhaps the most interesting part of the AMA was the fact that it actually cost the hoaxer $990 dollars to put the this whole thing together. He had to put a halt to the whole thing early, but apparently the whole exercise was supposed to culminate in a CGI trailer release. The CGI trailer apparently exists, but the

There's a reason Minecraft didn't die long before it got anywhere, and Killzone is mostly considered to be "meh" at best: Eye candy isn't everything. Otherwise it's the same game.

Consoles are also always worth a fraction of the price, and end up capable of handling much more powerful games than an equally priced PC could. With a console, you're also guaranteed that every game ever released for the platform will work as it's supposed to. By the time a new system comes out, you'll still be

The show that hosted the groundbreaking announcements of Skyrim and Dark Souls II in previous years looked like a joke this time around. Sure, No Man's Sky looks awesome if it can be done, and more Dying Light gameplay is only a bad thing when annoying people are "playing" it, but the rest? What, were they

I applaud your Walking Dead reference..at least until I imagined that Geoff was wearing an eye patch in that picture, causing me to cringe a little at the resemblance.

There's less than a half dozen games on that entire list that I haven't heard of before, simply because I visit sites like this and better game streaming sites on a regular basis. Yeah, a list where Walking Dead, Half-Life, Amnesia mods, Slenderman focused games, and Doom take up the first half isn't exactly going

He's harmless? Sure, if you're okay with him representing gamers because such a large audience of people go to YouTube "Let's Plays", which cater to "too young to be playing most of these games" audiences, completely unaware of other sites that better represent gamers as a whole (the only reason why people like him

Which is odd, because he was acting uninterested, and like he doesn't game, when he actually does. You could see him trying to show interest in stuff like Dying Light & Titanfall but holding back, likely because of a weird script

If they ruled, they would've put up a better fight when I came back for them.

To be fair, Konami said they wouldn't be there either last year, and yet we got our first taste of MGS V anyway.
