Sometimes I see a headline like this and think... there must be some kind of wrinkle in the fuller story to complicate this tidy narrative. Surely there must be more to this story than the headline indicates.

This is not one of those times.

Part of me wants him to join and speak up with all of the other Parkland survivors. This is someone who thought in the moment, “What can I do to prevent more loss of life” and took action. I think his instincts are a powerful symbol of the goodness in people.

I can’t even begin to imagine being 15 years old and making the deliberate choice to use my own body as a barricade to block gunfire and take bullets in order to save my classmates’ lives.

From a news article I read they state there is no security footage, but they claim a police officer witnessed it. The fact that the police officer supposedly saw this crime and did not arrest him on the spot for it should tell you how credible the allegations are.

And the investigation conveniently opened approximately three weeks after Bennett accused some police officers of threatening to blow his head off.

Hopefully this case will serve as a reminder to the public that Atlanta blew a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.
