Look, obviously I disagree with the man’s views, but the death of any human being is . . . excuse me for a minute.

Still my all-time favorite Trek. I think it managed to stick the landing nearly perfectly. I’m curious to see how Sisko’s time (or lack thereof) with the prophets changed him, as well as how his return would affect his friends and family. What would the characters’ new normal look like?
I thought it ended just fine. I mean, your lead character becomes a literal god, for instance.
I can’t believe that even in Europe, where I live, where many of my family died in camps, even there, this kind of people are raising their heads again.
Just let Meyrl Streep do it. Can’t do an off screen death of a character this important. Remember how dumb it felt when the did an off screen death of the Blackfish? And he wasn’t that important!
I really, really don’t like Rob’s idea. I think it’d be a horrible disservice to the story and character. Unless that was their plan all along and the narrative builds towards a fitting end...but seeing as we don’t know all that much, beyond Leia having a major role in Episode VIII, I’d also cast my vote for…
... did they miss the original Star Wars? A guy cut someone’s arm off with a laser sword in a bar fight. The sequel had the hero’s hand chopped off, also with a laser sword, after he escaped from a yeti by... wait for it... chopping off an arm with a laser sword.
Kids probably wouldn’t take too kindly to seeing the dismembered digits of some creepy alien flopping through the air while blood spurts out of his gaping armhole.
What’s in the revised script? WHAT’S IN THE REVISED SCRIPT?!
“And yet Rogue One gets described as a gritty war movie and TFA as a fun movie.”
I’d say the best space battle is still JEDI, but ROGUE ONE comes in second.
I feel like it’s the 90s again and I’m super excited at the USS Defiant from Deep Space Nine popping up on Star Trek: First Contact.
I for one like space politics in my space movies about space governments and space wars. The politics weren’t the problem with the PT. Thanks, whiny men-children.
Nah, the opening Crawl can fill in some plot holes.
“After the destruction of the NEW REPUBLIC SENATE in the Hosnian System by the evil FIRST ORDER, General Leia has traveled to Coruscant in hopes of saving the young government from total collapse.
Wounded during the destruction of STARKILLER BASE, Kylo Ren is…
I must say I kinda dig the Rogue One approach...? Just use cool looking shots that will never end in the final cut. Tell me pretty lies.
Luke: What did I miss?
Rey: The New Republic is in shamble, your best friend is dead and your nephew’s dickery across the galaxy continues.
Luke: ...
True. A sequel of this magnitude doesn’t really need a trailer to garner attention or get people to come see it.
If you are looking for another tree to drive through, there is the California’s Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree up in Leggett, CA at the intersection of CA-1 and US-101. Nice drive, bring a picnic lunch.
I don’t know why Sahara gets ripped apart. I quite liked it.
