Lincoln looks less like Lincoln than DD Lewis does.

You came up with two interesting examples that didn't fit with what I was talking about, though. In Cloud Atlas I thought the make-up effects for the Asian characters were not that great but for the point the movie tried to make I thought it was important that Sturgess and the others showed up in those roles too.

That's exactly what I disagree with. I mean I can't speak for the writers, producers and casting companies but I know I'd just pick PERSONS. That's why this is a total non-issue for me (both to ask for every ethnicity to be included and to be insulted if one isn't.)

If I was left out I'd still think that I'd prefer being included because I was the best choice and fit into the project than just getting picked in order to meet a quota.

Exactly.

Um you don't know me, so I'd appreciate you not jumping to conclusions about what I think about or not when I see this or that show. I've just recently rewatched all of DS9 with my gf and I am pretty sure that I would have described the characters with their habits, interests or pet peeves before talking about skin

See, I think not even noticing or thinking about such things is a much healthier approach than actively deciding about how many people of what skin color have to be in something.

LOL way to make me feel old.

Alice Eve? Huh. I could have sworn that's Rebecca Romjin. Hot.

Overall I entirely agree with your review, I'd simply replace the word "war" by adventure", but other than that: spot-on.

Thank you!

Your mentioning of the Gravity premise just made me think of another trailer I may or may not have seen on this site a while back, but forgot what it was called. It was basically one world mirroring ours but upside down, and a couple (one on each side) meeting this way, trying to get from one side to the other. It

I had no idea you guys were allowed to say "fucking each other" in here. That's awesome. (oh and I'll tune in.)

Oh that may be so, in that case I agree.

2) No no no! Doom just needs a kickass iron mask, that is all! Don't CGI the man!

Just cast the whole Modern Family group already!

The Hobbit is awesome all around (with minor problems) but Serkis/Gollum once again steals the show in every scene he's in.

Entirely agree.

If there wasn't the name Del Toro attached to this I would honestly discard it into the Transformers/Battleship corner...

Freeman was the right choice, he is spot-on.
