The pilot did a decent job for going low and slow. His problem was flaring to early. Pulling up more the collective probably would of done nothing more then cause rotor stall.

Cant wait for this book to come out. It was a very sad day when Robert Jordan passed though in my opinion Brandon Sanderson was an amazing choice and has refreshed the series some what.
