Actually when I had kids below 2 years I was surprised/appalled that US based airlines did not provide the extension belt for infants sitting in laps (but you could buy one on the plane) while all European based operators provided them for free and required you to wear them during takeoffs and landings.

I've been to the Lufthansa Business Class lounge in Munich and all they have is Pretzels and hors d'oeuvre's. They do have a beer tab and some liquor but it's not place to go for a meal... You can go and get drunk, but bar prices in Germany are very reasonable and that definitely wouldn't be worth it.
