That is not true. Winter tires have better grip in any condition, wet or dry, when the temperature drops below 45 degrees. This is due to the rubber compound in summer tires hardening below that temperature while winter tires are made out of a softer composition.

Well, I would never be able to test it myself, as the embarrassment of playing music that loud in my car would prevent me from ever getting such a sound system installed... But if Howard Stern can do it with a vibrating speaker, I'm sure someone can figure out a similar solution in their car...

Yeah, I find it surprising as well, but it really doesn't bother me that much... When I fly domestically I rarely have time to visit the lounge anyways.

Well, I'm executive platinum on American Airlines and do not have lounge access on domestic flights.

What I don't get is that it's not like the teams can't afford it... Even if the girls were paid as much as $50 an hour it wouldn't make a dent in the overall budget...
And maybe the hostile working conditions would be more bearable then?

That works if you always have direct flights... I fly a lot internationally and often have 2 - 4 hours layovers for my connecting flights. Having the ability to go into the lounge, eat and drink, have wifi and comfortable surroundings after an 11 hour flight means all the difference to me!

Mostly only true for US lounges... Go to the BA Lounge in Heathrow or the Singapore Airlines lounge in Hong Kong for example, and you'll have a full buffet of hot and cold foods, a large selection of wine, premium liquor and beer. (I'm usually pretty hammered when I leave)

That is only true for US based airlines. Most other airlines do have lounge access for all 50K miles members and above as well as Business class passengers on all flights.

I've had the chance to drive it a few times as well and I agree... You really feel the size and weight of the car and it doesn't feel like a sports car. It feels more like a very powerful sedan. If I'm buying a sports car, I wan't it to feel like a sports car when I'm driving it.

GT Academy would disagree with you...

Forgot one:

Hey! Denmark has the Sky Mountain (which is roughly 450 ft high) - can't blame the Danes for not having humor!

When talking to ATC there are a number of things that are defined by numbers:
Runway number - defined by the magnetic heading. Runway 27 would be pointing west. Runway 9 east etc.
Heading, bearing, course or radial: 1 to 360 (called out as 3-6-0)
Altitude: either in feet or flight level. 36,000 ft = FL360
Transponder

: would be a sentence that a pilot would never say...
