In general I agree with you, but there are exceptions. I'm looking to buy a 981 Boxster S in the next 6 months and with the extensive options list Porsche has, it is pretty much impossible for me to find the right car used. So the option is to either compromise or but new.

This makes no sense to me... most phones already have 4G, why get it from another source (and pay for sn additional plan)?
The right way is the other way around, where the car uses your phones 4G connection via Bluetooth to gain internet connectivity.
