I know John Nicol who is the guy behind Maker Plane, and I'm sure he'll succeed with the project (He used to work at Lockheed Martin and knows a thing or two about planes)...

QOTD

I once pulled over at a gas station to buy the highway sticker for Switzerland... The attendant asked me if I needed one for Austria, to which I replied: No, I will not be going through Austria.
I will never forget the "Ohhh, turists!!!" look on her face (while rolling her eyes) when she said: Sir, you are in Austria!

You are absolutely right...

I think the San Diego Air & Space Museum takes the grand prize: SR-71 Blackbird (Not to be confused with Yellowbird... Which, really just is a big yellow bird)

I hate to sound like a broken record, but there is something wrong with the point system, when one of the best cars on the road (if not the best drivers car) is beaten by a Jag... Nuff said!

You're kidding me, right??? And nobody thinks that it's a national security risk that you can buy explosives off the shelf? If 42 Lbs can do that, imagine what 500 Lbs of Tannerite in a van can do...
That's just insane!!!!

Manual e-brake... All Porsches, Lambos and other super and luxury cars now come equipped with an electronic e-brake. It has also found its way into many ordinary cars like VW's, which means soon the days of handbrake turns will be over...

I am gutted... I saw all four cars at the L.A. Auto Show, and they all looked awesome... Especially the Elise. I've driven the current Elise and it's a bag full of fun, but pretty...? Not really!!!

Watching Tiff doing the Scandinavian Flick just gave me a thought... How cool would it be to make a car show hosted by Tiff Needell and Chris Harris?

Gustav III on St. Bartholomew is a tricky Caribbean airport. The hill slopes all the way to the (very short) runway with no displaced threshold. This means that the pilot pretty much has to put it down on the numbers to stop in time.
It looks like this multi-engine aircraft is coming in a little faster than his speed

I think this whole discussion is a little hypocritical, because everyone who has replied to your post has been speeding at one time or another... Everyone cruises at 75 - 80 mph in So-Cal (including me). I don't think that everyone in Cali considers themselves reckless drivers. In fact I spoke to a CHP officer that

Usually the complaint is that you have to sit through 2 min of non-eventful video until some action happens... This time they could have started the video a few seconds earlier!

Every pilot starts his career in a single engine, fixed gear aircraft without automated systems and the advance to more advanced aircrafts, Instrument Rating, Multi Engine Ratings etc.

Completely agree... Plus, it was just a summer internship - He got 4 weeks of extra vacation! Seems like a win win situation to me?!?!

I have used my friends European credit card at gas stations here in the US... I just punched in my zip code and it worked... leads me to believe that you can use any zip code with a foreign cc.

It would be cool if Jalopnik could do a weekly editorial on race cars. The ingeneering behind the model, specs, race history, drivers etc.

The RUF driver is just insane... he's skilled alright, but still pure luck he didn't crash...

Was that Keanu Reeves behind the wheel?

I would have thought that a Journeyman, is a guy that listens to Journey?
