You can respec skill points, just not attributes. There are 5 attributes that each cap out at 20 and you have 65 points to spend between them, so to not be able to max any of them, you’d have to get to at least rank 11 in every single attribute. If you’re going to jack of all trades, you don’t get to master them. It’s

It’s hanging out. It’s the TV on in the background, but its centered around one person who you get to know and occasionally directly interact with. A kingdom of minor celebrities doing interesting-enough content but (among the most popular) mostly just being charismatic and enjoyable to hang around with. And each of

...You can max at least 2, maybe 3 different trees to my knowledge. Did you just... invest in every tree equally and expect to be able to max them out? I’m a bit confused by this particular complaint.

Literally every single TV sold today has a “60fps mode”, and 4K is only a “scam” if you’re playing on a 20” screen from 6 ft away. What the fuck are you on about.

Just gonna reply here where this shit bag can’t dismiss it. Bigburito is deleting every comment that explains exactly why he’s wrong about movie framerates relative to camera turn speeds, because he’s a big baby that can’t handle when people point out he’s very wrong and sounds very stupid. Some people cannot be

Pretty cool when I explained why this comment is wrong you dismissed it. Guessing you’ll dismiss this one too. Neat, bud!

It’s not me who is not understanding. The “360 flip and twist” shot, one: again doesn’t move that fast in raw rotational terms, but even for the speed its moving, you have a nearly static focal point for your attention. You are very deliberately kept on a point that doesn’t translate across screen space almost at all.

Yeah, it would be nice for them to finally let their games run uncapped and actually scale appropriately without horribly bottlenecking or outright breaking but again, not holding my breath. Still seems like a Creation Engine game at its absolute core.

This is not proving what you think it is. The vast, vast majority of these camera moves are deflections of a couple degrees at most. The actual rotational ground covered is absolutely minuscule compared to even a tame 1st person camera turn.

This all makes sense within the scope of what they’re going for and the limitations of the hardware. As people note, you can’t just turn down the resolution and shadows for every game and allow for 60 FPS. CPU-bound tasks just do not care.

That said, my concern is that because they’re only targeting 30 FPS on consoles,

This is waaaaay overstating the fluidity of 30 FPS. There is no amount of acclimation in which I stop noticing and wishing I had more frames. There’s an acclimation from “this is actively disorienting and looks like dogshit” to “I can more or less tolerate this and it looks like dogshit”

EDIT: And also, on the movie

Everyone’s missing the important part: 2/3 list FFX. Suck it, FFX haters.

It was giving more Kevin Conroy to me, but I think we’re feeling a similar vibe from it.

This is such an insane take to me. Other than discoverability for purchases, which has a fairly obvious financial incentive, Steam was notoriously stagnant from like 2012 until the Steam Deck came out. They’re innovating now because people actually are using the Xbox app and EGS and such in addition to Steam now, and

It is so darkly funny that Twitter now exclusively shows you Blue subscriber replies, and that entire group are reliably some of the most homophobic, transphobic fucking lunatics you’ve ever heard in your lives, so despite the general response being “what a scumbag,” the replies to that Dexerto tweet are just

That’s Alex Casey. It literally is Max Payne. Alex Casey is the version of Max Payne Alan writes in the games.

Sorry, but if you were expecting a “Last Of Us” type game out of the OG Dead Island trailer, I still maintain that is entirely on you. As I said, I don’t think that trailer gives you anything more than “A 3D game containing zombies” to hang your hat on.

I don’t know how you think I’m living my life, but I don’t think seeing a NMS thing, going “man, it’d be fucking sick to actually get a game like the one they pitched” and then never thinking about it again until NMS comes up again is desperately holding on to anything lol

I have. Thats why I said Id pay anything for an NMS 2. I accept NMS one has become what it has.

I mean, you absolutely do not need to do actual water flow, if you give up on the Minecraftification. Proc gen rivers are fine if they’re allowed to be static and not let the player futz with them. Which is kind of my point. They had a choice between making compelling natural environments to discover and explore, and
