A white guy in his 50's from Florida? I’m shocked. Also shocked to see that he’s driving around in a van that is basically a Trump shrine.

Didnt realize everyone on Jalopnik drives GT3s and Raptors.
It’s actually pretty interesting, considering Subaru just dropped the turbo in this segment. Not to mention that the CX-5 is a great car if you’re considering a crossover, which virtually everyone is.
Um, the hordes of people buying this crossover? This is the hottest part of the car market right now. Stupid comment.
Because it’s the only car to compare to right now... but I think that will be the biggest market difference between the Porsche and the Tesla- the Taycan is clearly designed to be 80% sport and 20% sedan where the Model S has always been 80% sedan, 20% sport... but what Porsche can do with only 20% sedan is why…
Nah your answer was good. I didn’t think about cooling. Usually when you hear about altitude and car testing its related to the internal combustion process. If you have an electric car with air-cooled components I can see air density being an issue. Water cooling probably to a lesser extent, but that depends on the…
I didn’t appreciate thermodynamics while I was taking the class, but man, its cool.
I assume those are camouflage on the pre-production cars, and won’t appear on the production versions.
Why do the Taycans have exhaust pipes? just trying to pretend its an IC car?
I also didn’t realize that electric cars were affected by altitude. Well, as it turns out, yes they are. Specifically, air density can affect an electric motor’s ability to dissipate heat. A higher elevation means lower air density, and therefore less heat gets transferred which lowers its efficiency.
How much does altitude testing matter with an electric vehicle?
You’re missing the entire reason for buying Tesla stock now, which is the expectation of massive growth compared to BMW or any other legacy automaker. Sure BMW sells more cars and generates profits, but that likely isn’t going to increase that much so why buy the stock? If you believe that Tesla will continue their…
1st Gear: Maybe he changed his mind because of the drop in stock price and thinks his short position is played out. Now moves into a buy position, creates some positive news ahead of an expected positive report, and voila! He makes a boat load of money.
I mean if you are going to paint a boat, it’s going to be easiest and most believable to paint a boat that looks like the boats in the harbor.
Ask David Tracy about intact.
I’ve seen 20 year old cars that were less intact
For 2,400 years old? That’s intact.
But it is only 2018, how can this be 2,400 years old?
“Intact” is a pretty generous assessment of the current condition of the wreckage.
I work in an industry that relies heavily on manufacturing and assembling machines made of steel.
