@ManicPixieNightmareTroll: Damn you, Wikipedia (who we shall hold responsible for this travesty): "On October 21, 2009, Burroughs announced on Twitter that he and Pilsits had separated."

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was first concerned with the fact that the Sterns divorced (I mean, name ANOTHER couple who have been chronicling indigenous foods for over 30 years, right?), before actually mentally addressing the topic of this post.
@gargle: I second that emotion! I loved KayLee!
And I was completely thrown by the last suggestion, "a plaid cardigan." Then I re-read it.
I have friends that come to visit from all over who I originally met online. Hell, my husband and I met in Asheron's Call and there was one table at our wedding that was nothing but gamers we were meeting for the first time that week! And if you think I still play AC...well, fail.
I actually knew a woman who worked for Miller who was a beer taster (yes, even Miller has them!). She was a chemist, I believe, but was tested to be sensitive to specific off-flavors and was called in when they wanted to check for those problems. So, turns out you have to have a real job there and just get called in…
I'm pleased to post this tho: [andrewtoyota.com]
My mother "upgraded" from an absolutely gorgeous stone my father got her in the late 50s. God bless her...it's on my finger now.
My husband and I both think she's pretty hot.
Music in Performance at UW-Madison. One class a week, one exam - open book. Pass/fail. I almost forgot the exam as it was the last one that semester and I'd already begun to celebrate - but I passed.
So much Crocs hate. *hides her comfortable feet*
I recently heard that the psychiatric profession is as maligned as mental illness itself in China. I wonder about these "70 psychiatrists", as there are proportionately few fully trained (i.e. to standards Americans would expect) psychiatrists in China.
Okay, what if Claire gives birth to Aaron at the concert or after they're somehow returned to the Island, and she gives him her father's last name? Then #23 - Shephard, is Aaron, not Jack...
My husband is 19 years younger than me. Go ahead and order the lilies now.
I had to take myself off their mailing list - I tried to order something using a special discount code and couldn't make hide nor hair of their website. I buy nearly everything online and have never run into that before. It's a fabulous showcase for half-assery, methinks.
I used to own a gaming center, and most center software packages have a module to allow levels of access. We did this voluntarily, because who needs the hassle? I bet nearly all centers do the same - why does someone consider this added layer of regulation necessary?
Man, I just can't stop grinning!
I dated a guy who had custody of his daughter every other weekend - and her mother didn't bother to do anything about the lice her daughter had. I found out I had them when I was getting a perm and the hairdresser froze and asked if I'd said something about lice. I had to stand, with soaking wet hair, in the back…
A friend of mine dated Oprah's niece, and O's mom has been a bit of a cross to bear for much of O's adult life. I don't follow Oprah much or care either way, but her mom has pulled a lot of crap here in Milwaukee and Oprah has had to bail her out several times. Sad.
Great, something new to shoot for. I was just going to settle for a 6-foot plastic banquet table from Sam's Club. This throws that right out the proverbial window...
