Consumerism is absolutely out of control.
Consumerism is absolutely out of control.
It’s always comforting to see someone who gets why AI taking over art is a very bad thing, but in case it wasn’t clear enough, here’s how it all goes down:
Not really, a large portion of complaint about AI, ESPECIALLY around here, are not of the “Sci-Fi, Skynet” sort of deal, but the shittier reality of generative AI which is
(a) sought after by executives to replace creative types, even though the dataset of that AI is trained on the works of those creative types,…
They most likely know about it much more than you do. How can I tell? Because if you did look into it, you would know why they are saying the things they say (hint: it is not because of sci-fi movies) and you would try to address their concerns with an actual argument (no, ‘you are idiots’ is not an argument).
It is unlikely for many reasons.
“Coming 2025" - Goddamnit, R*.
Serious Florida Man vibes.
My first experience with Cyberpunk was 2.0, and I have not put it down since. It is wildly entertaining, and has fantastic replayability. After putting over 140 hours in my first playthrough (without touching DLC) I have now started a new playthrough because I didn’t realize you could do DLC main quest in tandem with…
Man I am SO glad that I’m slow at games, thus I’m still finishing Starfield and haven’t jumped back into cyberpunk yet. But now I’ll be able to get the 2.0 stuff, the dlc, and these latest updates when I finally do that! Honestly most excited about the boss fight improvements. Smasher was a pushover in my playthrough…
You know what that means for the voice acting, Jezza...
I think VO is the main bottleneck here. In BG3, the player character is silent. In ME, the PC is completely voiced. Players will expect a Turian to sound different from a Krogan, which means including those as playable species would require multiple VOs for every line.
I want this so f’ing badly. I know devs don’t want us plebs looking to BG3 as an example of what they should do differently but goddam it if I can be a 3 foot tall skinny impish lady with curly red hair who stabs fools in that game I don’t want to HAVE to be a boring-ass 5'11 fitness dork human in ME.
I really hope it’s not Shepard in any form.
Just let us play as Niftu Cal you cowards.
Will this be the first ME game where you can actually choose your species in the SP campaign?
I’d be okay in Andromeda as long as it’s within a better game.
The problem is: Cyberpunk is a action game where, above all else, the game “needs” to be fun. I think when it’s focused on V’s story, Cyberpunk does some really swell stuff with its themes, and I think most of the main characters are well developed.
It just when it focused on its politics at large, it can’t do…
Which only needed ‘saving’ because the people at the top only think about money and made some truly stupid decisions blindly pursuing of it. Decisions, I might add, that they were told, in no uncertain terms, would blow up in their faces if made. But they made them anyway. Because money.
It’s probably more accurate to say that they spent the money saving CDPR’s reputation.
I believe the executives have the dev team by the balls, like Sony does with the FF team and forces them to keep certain FF games exclusive to Sony consoles.
