The Oculus Rift S is $400 (as is the 64GB Oculus Quest whose PC connectivity is in beta now), if you don’t mind giving money to Facebook. And being $100 over your budget.

The leaked scripts weren’t supposed to be a sign Half Life 3 was coming. They were leaked basically to say “Half Life 3 is pretty well cancelled, so I might as well let you see some of what was made before the cancellation.”

Wait, you subscribe and STILL pay for the games?

I don’t get why they’re making it such a pain in the ass. Here’s what it should’ve looked like:

VR only?

Oh fuck you Valve. Stop crushing my hopes and dreams... if you can even call it hopes and dreams anymore.

As much as I was a massive Half life fan, this isn’t going to make me invest $1000+ in hardware to be able to use VR

I love paying 70+ dollars (plus a monthly fee) to have the privilege of paying full price for year-old games that will—AT BEST—have mild amounts of noticeable input latency.

Let me guess, the controllers only work if I shove them up my ass?

Can we get a custom VR headset that looks like this?

VR only?
If so, they can shove it up their asses.

Have we seen the last of Mr. Robot?

My love for crazy-ass Vera is known and continues. I hoped he would have had some kind of role, maybe even accidental, in the final takedown, but no. His intense interest in the therapy session was great.

I was wondering the same thing about Mr. Robot. Does his “I can’t protect you anymore” open the door for the other “personality," or however we are supposed to refer to him/them?

I just want to say that the 4th season of this show has sealed its place alongside The Wire & The Americans when it comes to my favorite TV dramas of all-time.

“I am so happy this episode laughed at me, stole my lunch money, and shoved me in a locker.”

Are you serious? you clearly don’t know what you are talking about and have never experienced someone that you trust betray your trust in the worst way possible!

Man, I don’t know. This episode was very well done, but I think I kind of hate the twist. It feels like it kind of ruins the show in retrospect. It’s always been super dark, but watching Eliot work all this time with a recreation of his father who was raping him during childhood is a step over the line into something

The rainbow piece is a famous painting by Hilda af Klint called Altarpiece No. 1 Group X. There was another of her works in the adjacent room. She had a solo show at the Guggenheim that ended last spring. EXCELLENT production design.

This episode was so beautifully set up that even if it wasn’t such an emotional roller-coaster and didn’t have all the revelations it’d still be incredible to watch. Esmail did a lot of genre homages and various references and they all great in their own way but this one is among my favourites (there with Alf episode).
