Agreed, they need more time and a bigger budget. That fight scene with Alucard was pretty satisfying to watch.

Seeing that I just got TW: Rome II with all the fixes and dlc for damn cheap i’m going to be knee deep in some Gaulish conquests.

I’m surprised i’ve actually seen quite a few of those. I’m not sure if most of today’s stuff holds up to the older standards. I am digging One Punch Man though.

Yeah I remember them using some for the space gates I think but it was really subtle. Now it’s just overused imo but that’s just me.

Cheers for the guides !

I’m a fan of Watanabe’s work. I’ve seen Champloo and remember liking it but I haven’t gotten around to Space Dandy. Hoping it comes to Netflix. The problem I have is that there’s so much anime coming out it’s hard to sort out the wheat from the chaff. The 3d cel shaded stuff really gets on my nerves though.

Good to know.

I miss the old school hand drawn stuff. Can anyone recommend newer stuff that looks like Neo Tokyo or Cowboy Bebop?

That shit doesn’t exist to me. I will never watch any continuation or remake of Cowboy Bebop.

A cult classic that should have had more episodes. I’m ecstatic Adult Swim chose to undertake a project i’m entirely behind.

YEAH that was it !!! So many memories flooding back. I’ll have to find that on an emulator. Thanks!

What the hell was that one Japanese baseball game that had players with gigantic heads? I think it came out on the Snes or N64.

Now playing

I couldn’t agree more, Lusine’s (L’usine) earlier stuff is way better than his recent output imo but yeah Ghostly is a great label (their ‘after dark’ twitter feed is out there & pretty hilarious). If you dig shoegaze / synthpop Black Marble & Xeno & Oaklander are definitely worth a listen too.

Maybe U.S. cops should learn a thing or two from the Swedes.

The programmers could pull off something more technical with an elegant solution that isn’t resource heavy. Who knows...

You need to check out more leagues. There’s plenty of excitement if you start following a team close enough.

Why not shoot for the stars? Someone has to. Games have become too stale and cookie cutter for their own good. For as much flack as No Man’s Sky gets, they might have aimed for the grandiose and missed but at least they had an ambitious vision.

I had the exact same thought. I’m hoping Ubisoft gives him all the resources he needs. This could blow Mass Effect out of the water and that’s saying something.
