@okenny :) ...building bridges (to hide under): By that reasoning we should kill off people without the 100+ year life genetic code, or people pre-disposed to certain diseases. And lose out on people like Sergey Brin (pre-disposed to Alzheimer's). Think of all the epidemics we've come through our human history, and

@xfairgamex: To be fair, lots of film professionals use Final Cut.

@Dapke36: Sierra and Dogfish Head's one-off beers are superior (to me) than Stone. Stone just hasn't done much to terribly impress me recently. And their quality seems to have receded since the new brewery opened.

@kicking222: Compared to Le Anne Schreiber's ombudsman pieces, this thing is a joke. ESPN tries to portray itself as holding high journalistic ethics, and then goes ahead and pats itself on the back like this? You don't see the blatant conflict of interests?

@Lazz: Oh no doubt for sure. Not only do they brew decent (again, imo) beer, they also distribute most of my favorite beers around SoCal. But there are other large microbreweries that taste better to me — Firestone, Sierra Nevada, Dogfish Head. Sadly, the last amazing beer I've had from them was (again, imo) their

No wonder his battery life sucks... he's running data through the 3G network all the time.

@Dapke36: Stone, imo, is really not that great. Their brewery gardens are awesome, though, and their sour ale festival is epic.

@Eternal: ...but it is on the list.

@urfe: Would you mind sharing how? I found a couple versions — a DOS version and an DOSBox-wrapped (for OSX) one, but neither works properly. Can't figure out how to "install.exe" it on the DOS version, and the OSX one has no sound.

I would make fun of the Northeast heat wave, like my SoCal brethren on here have, but Stone Brewery's Sour Ale Festival is only one week away, and last year was 100F. So I need all the good karma I can get.

I can read pretty fast on a computer or laptop vs. a book, eBook, or iPad. Scrolling up/down is much more natural (to me) than flipping pages. Being able to skip around and search by word is really useful too.

"So that happened. I'm sure the Gizmodo guys get this shit all the time."

@java.android: I'm sensing a plot for an Adam Sandler movie here.

So this is on *top* of the "how wireless data is transmitted" infographic? Whoa.

@whatznext28: A good pair of monitors will help you hear what's going on in your music. Before you even start you kind of do have to have some drive, and a vision in your mind of what to do. I remember getting a couple keyboards, monitors, a Firewire soundcard (forgot to add that to the list), Logic, etc., and

@shooga: I don't think walking around the real world wearing 3D-enabling glasses would be good for the eyes. And buying a second pair just to watch a 3D TV seems like wasted money.

Landycakes: "I've made a huge mistake..."

@whatznext28: Start off with a Mac and Logic Studio, studio monitors, and a MIDI keyboard. Invest in some online production tutorials or courses, and add some room treatment. After you get comfortable with your DAW and workflow, expand into third-party software, and feel free to add bits of esoteric hardware, as your
