@The Cheat: I have a 40D with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. Love it, but was wondering how much better a 5D would shoot. I swear shots taken with the 5D feel like they have more "presence" than with crop SLRs.

How much better is a full-frame SLR over a crop-sensor? Can somebody measure it in f-stops or ISO?

Minimal techno, and long DJ sets (and/or both). Nothing like putting on an 8-hour set at the start of work, and get off work just as it's concluding. Minimal's not en vogue like it was in 2005 anymore, but nothing like some good ol' Plastikman to calm and focus the mind.

@dry-roasted-peanuts: I'm just the opposite. I can't listen to a story and read e-mail or write reports at the same time—too many words and thoughts going on at the same time.

@grewal1212: He has a point, though. I don't see what the difference between this and sticking a bottle in an ice container (hotel-style) would be.

@Twenty5: For every complaint on MacRumors or YouTube, there are dozens of others without issues. I've installed SL on my Mac Pro and MBP, and done several heavy work (music production), without issues. (yet! *knocks on wood*)

Almost every HD/DVR box out there is annoying. It doesn't help when there are 900 channels to scroll through, with 870 of them completely useless (PPV, Music, Premium channels, foreign languages, Fox News, etc.). And shouldn't there be a "watch HD version by default" button? Why would I watch SD channels when the HD…

Am I the only one excited for the prime L portrait lens @ ~$1k retail? *with* IS? I've been looking at getting a prime L portrait lens for a couple years, but always balked at the price. This looks right up my alley.

I saw TV ads for Grand Theft Auto 4 for weeks, and I don't think I've seen any for GTA:CW. I'd love to see more M-rated games for the DS, it's arguably the console I spend the most time with.

@pashaveliki: That's kind of a low blow. The DS has way better games, but it doesn't do email, internet, and music as well as the iPhone does. It's handy to check out game reviews or guides when I'm not near a computer.
