Maybe, but at least when FFXIV resurfaced as A Realm Reborn, it showed Square actually took the time to say “yeah, we fucked up and now we’ve come back and brought you the game you deserved the first time around. Oh, and those of you that bought it before, yeah, you still get this version too.”
