@El Destino: The Guitar Hero brand isn't selling as well because people finally realize that Activision isn't supporting current products with great amounts of dlc and are instead forcing people to buy another iteration of the series every few months.

There's nothing to "get right" but the price.

Raven got almost all of the little kids who wanted to look futuristic, Valor got almost all of the people who wanted to be lone wolves, and SVER got most of the people who had mics, worked together and actually carried revive kits.

I'm sure my other SVER compatriots would agree that population =/= "winning" the beta. Considering SVER dominated both of the other factions quite consistently.

Free DLC for new purchases is the best way for developers to combat the growing used game sales (o which hey see no profit).

@Eschekt: LotR is a different beast. It has a style that is it's own and gamepaly that shares some good stuff with other games. It's not a reskin of another game.
