So what world-changing things do you get up to?

I think i actually prefer this.

Taxes. Paying bills (though its easier with online payments these days). Getting a loan. Managing investments. Buying anything significantly expensive (cars, homes, etc). Basically you know, real world stuff.

Well true 'can't die no matter what' drug would be a different thing, it would be a really big thing to consider, because you could just end up trapped under some rocks or something.

Not even close. The amount of awesome stuff that has happened recently, and is always happening? I'm pissed i'll miss out on it.

Populations do tend to fluctuate, though i would also advocate mandatory birth control till a certain point then you get to either choose to have kids (breeders) or take the drug (immortals).

Thats fine, just make the immortality drug also make you sterile. I don't want kids, but i'd love to live forever.

Even in-world the holodeck is a terrible idea and i'm half convinced its some sort of weird experiment because it seemed like every second time they used the thing it malfunctioned and tried to kill them

Mechwarrior Online is not only a shitstorm, its basically a scam at this point. Warframe is good, but very grindy - but the devs are great and the updates mostly good. Planetside is good and pretty much completely F2P, but there isn't much to it aside from a persistent shooter.
