Here is one for you. There were floods in, i believe, Brisbane. What happened was some bull sharks ended up trapped in a big lake at a golf course. Because they can survive, as you said, in both salt and fresh water they did just fine and thrived.

You are absolutely correct. That was totally my fault, because i was being lazy. There was a shark caught some time in the 1870s which was over 10m long, but when i googled it for reference it had it in feet, not meters, so when i converted to meters i slipped.

If it makes you feel any better, generally speaking if you SEE a great white shark, it probably isn't going to eat you, it might take a tester-bite though to check if you're tasty. Humans generally aren't on shark menus, its usually mistaken identity. If its going to eat you, you probably won't see it coming.

I think in part its the way their head if very flat, but also i think its their overall body shape.

Its very possible, its strange though that even a big 16ft White would eat even a smaller White because there are much less dangerous things to try and eat. There is apparently a really old underwater river outlet on the coast. Its under water but apparently it still puts a lot of stuff out into the ocean (good stuff)…
