Yeah the clones thing was kinda on the nose. It felt like another way to legitimize the whole thing and tap into what people loved about it. He didn't do anything really original, it was just all rehashing, it read a little like fanfiction.

Honestly, i didn't feel that light-hearted and jolly watching it. Maybe i wasn't seeing it in the right light but everything i saw was Love one dying and in pain -> Something we can do about it -> Everyone trying to stop us -> no one can stop us.

It would be even better if it wasn't sped up but its amazing.

From what i remember its sort of more of a spinoff with nothing connecting to the main series except the main characters is the son, right?

I wouldn't even need the same actors, the series showed enough of the future we could put it somewhere THERE, with all the history of the original show to back it up.

Its very much like the rest of the books in that its a little dense and kinda heavy because a lot of it is based on the fact he can see the future so everything he's planning is supposed to come into effect hundreds of years down the road. Its actually a little depressing.

I refuse to acknowledge those books as canon. I can only ever see them as a money-grab. Everything is 'based on notes' or 'stuff my dad told me' AND it was written with someone else, and i'm convinced he (whose name i can't remember at the moment) did most of the writing and Brian's name was just there so they could

So me it was just an unfortunate side story which i easily ignored. I got what i wanted out of it.

Why am i just hearing about this show now...?

In this case its more pointing out the difference in type of alcohol. A 'beer' or a 'liquor' and so on.

Growing pains, i guess. Looking back, the characters as they are now aren't what they once were. Gus for example, was unbearable in the first few episodes and they pushed the 'powers of observation' shtick just a little too far. But it is winding down and i'd rather see it go now than drag on.

I'll totally agree with that. People love the idea of Heroes (I do too) but by the end, it was terrible. Bringing Heroes back is just NBC thinking they can cash in and, i don't know, retcon out their mistakes maybe, make us forget how badly it was handled.

This i guess is the problem people have, they are expecting something powerful and epic because they are told they should and because it doesn't live up to - or is just a bad example of - some messiah/savior motifs that kinda fall short.

Its just alcohol that uses honey instead of other traditional ingredients.

All the backstory was good and all but you're right. It needed more giant fighting robots.

I'm sorry. The "right way"?

Sadly, thats an urban legend, and i've never even HEARD of the jet li one. Unless we're being ironic.

And then you have things like Heroes coming back and that TV show everyone loved is getting a movie or something i can't remember what its called i never watched it.

There are video games, and they are pretty good. But the books are amazing. They have a lot of deep worldbuilding that sort of sneaks up on you, the enemies are fun, there is magic, intrigue and drama, as well as a heavy dose of politics.
