As the #2 ranked slapper(#1 was just scary!) at the place I was a security guard/bouncer at, that story brings back some fond memories of slaps from the past.
Wow, this one is hard. I've been in the business 15 years from salesman, to managers to now an owner and its hard to pick out a top story.
I guess someone feels pissed he wasted a bunch of money on a POS Porsche that gets beat up by Camaro's on the track.
(FYI: 1LE > Cayman R, Z/28 > 911 Turbo)
Let me reiterate. Porsche = waste of poser douchebags money.
He ran him over. He's a dumb redneck with a little baby anger issue and he killed someone because of it. He'll continue to get rich. What a great society we live in.
I don't see the point in all this arduous Smoke defending. He clearly killed a guy, he may get away with it, let the chips fall where they may in the court of public opinion in the meantime.
He seems to be the only guy giving throttle during the caution on that turn. While racing, you use gas to turn, but at those slower speeds, the steering wheel does work.
Even at low speed?
Please. I have seen many times it's not the case. The last time, in Indiana, a semi truck driver was given just a ticket for something like "unsafe start" after running over a stalled motorcycle and killing the rider he didn't notice, even though the bike stopped right in front of him.
Most fatal accidents don't result in any sort of charges.
OK, so here's the thing: to all of you blaming Ward. No, he should not have been in the middle of track. He should have kept his cool. But how many times do we see drivers do exactly the same thing. Christ, Tony himself has done it during a NASCAR race. Also: "Hurrdurr black suit on dark track, Tony couldn't see him."…
Lock him up.

I've always referred to this show as "Some Things Considered...From a Certain Point of View."
I don't even know where to start with this. Just, sob.
Related...as far as yard games go.
"Men in America" as defined by NPR, how rich. Just because this guy's circle of peers is incapable of doing anything for themselves, without calling an expert, doesn't change what it means to be an American Man for anyone outside New York, or San Francisco, or wherever.
I think a major contributor to the belief of young people not caring about cars comes from the geographic proximity of people making this comment. They're nearly always from some media outlet located in NYC, L.A., S.F., or some other massive metropolis where distances are measured in 'blocks' and public transport is…
Your contribution is top notch.
Seems to work fine everywhere else...just learn how to drive.
