Wow, people got killed with cars? Holy crap. What's this world coming to?
I heard another 30k people were killed by cars last year. We should nip that in the bud.

Let's all freak out about something that is responsible for less than 1 tenth of 1 percent of all traffic fatalities.
Where are all those clapping gifs?
You said it all brother. Let people decide. A free market rating system will be better than any government system if there is demand for it. These things exist already in many areas.
While Cadillac makes some very classy cars, I think this car will flop. It could have been a hit but IMO you have to win over the enthusiasts first and everyone else second. The enthusiasts are what shape the public perception of the brand. People ask their enthusiast friends about cars, or listen to their opinions.
So…
doesn't bother me, just keep sending me your shekels! More regulations, more money in my pocket, vets get awesome preferences for all these bs regulatory schemes. Love em.
Maybe I'll start up an air station environmental cleanup company. Shoot me a resume. I might need a pad eye cleaner.
You do work for the military industrial complex, where do you think the money comes from to fund it? Let me help you: You work. A portion of what you earn is stolen. The government calls this taxes. They then spend nearly 50% of it on something related to the military (this is including hidden and deferred defense…
LoL no shit, I worked on Hueys and cobras. You must have been an asvab waiver. Still drinking the kool aid too.
Places like Miramar are an environmental catastrophe and you want those same people responsible for that regulating everyone else? No thanks. Don't need any more bottom of the barrel govt. people telling me…
You trust government more than private business? LoL. You trust an organization based upon theft and violence that loves the environment so much that they've detonated over 1000 nuclear weapons on earth, exposes people to all kinds of radiation against their will, dumps thousands of tons of pollutants in the air and…
Right, because we know the Government is virtuous and run by people blessed by the Lord to do the right thing. Hah, naive.
lol @ you getting angry at other people because you didn't know something.
Calm your tits son.
If you couldn't tell, me saying "for real?" was sarcasm. I have two track cars and have been building track cars for the past 18 years. I suspect you were in diapers when I started tuning chips and probably in elementary when I was literally using the first commercially available wideband to tune. I…
"They make performance cats" for real? LoL
Right, because, like I just said, they run deliberately richer than what would make the best power to save the catalytic converter.
The Hellcat would likely make 750+ (if it is actually making 707 net) with a tune that didn't care about saving the cat.
As for the Veyron... Unicorn farts.
Get mad. Your ignorance of modern engine controls is not my fault.
This will make you madder: I drive my track car on the street.
Whoa whoa, slow down partner. It doesn't do a thing for NOx? Look up the latent heat of vaporization for alcohols, and now compare them to gasoline. You are going to notice something. That something is precisely why they make great fuels for turbocharged engines, which incidentally don't generally run into boost in…
The cat does not restrict, yes. But the Calibration required to keep the cat alive does indeed "rob" horsepower. A WOT calibration for max power would be significantly leaner than what OEMs program. They run richer to "put out" the cat so that it does not overheat. They are required to warrant emissions equipment for…
In a track environment, on a properly tuned engine for track use, you'd destroy a ceramic matrix cat very quickly.
OEMs deliberately run their WOT calibrations on the rich side to "put out" (i.e. cool) the catalytic converter at WOT so it doesn't get burned up.
It's scary what roads a few shreds of knowledge will lead you down.
There are many ways to reduce emissions. Examples: While A.I.R. was common a few years ago, it is down right rare now, same for E.G.R.
Therein lies the fallacy of your justification for tyranny. If I don't have these items on a car that was originally…

Agreed. Shooting brake is just the new hip thing for the American euro wanna-be crowd.
