I will admit as a kid my parents got me a ton of gifts to the point I did not even know what to play with. My parents still go crazy and the first year was overwhelming to Mrs. Nemesis0999 as she did not expect more than a couple of gifts.

Last time I checked plastic does not rust. These were metal from Bed Bath and Beyond and the handles on the knives started to rust and jagged. I was really shocked but once I stopped using a dishwasher detergent with citrus added the utensils stopped rusting.

Just as an FYI some utensils do not do well with citric acid. I had a detergent for my dishwasher that had a citrus smell and it caused some of my utensils to rust and when I checked the packaging of the utensils mentioned as such.

For those that still need a cup you can also switch to decaf which I have done to lower caffeine withdrawal issues. You still get a bit of caffeine but I found that I did not get the splitting headaches I did with no caffeine.
