I still have NO fucking clue what “woke” means, but people were insistent that Saints Row was going to be it after only seeing the announcement trailer.  The only common factor I can find is that “woke” seems to be used an awful lot with visible speaking women and minority characters.

I think where it really fell down wasn’t even the story content, but the loot. The game came with only 3 of each type of gun (light/fast, medium, heavy/slow). It literally had a smaller weapon pool than Mass Effect 3.  You can’t build a loot-based game on a tiny pool of possible options.
