It's one thing if you rescue a shelter dog and train him to sit, but breeding animals for the specific purpose of human entertainment is pretty exploitative. There are thousands of dogs (and rabbits, etc.) dying in shelters, so we shouldn't be breeding any more or supporting industries that do.

Trained for racing, fights, pageants, circus, and other "spectacles" for human entertainment? Yes I feel the same. Trained not to bite and to behave around humans, for everyone's safety? Different. Animals are not here for our entertainment.
