This is one of the things we’ve lost now that the normal season size is less than half of what it used to be, the filler episode. DS9 had three of the most memorable filler/comic relief/tension break episodes ever - this one, Little Green Men and Take Me Out to the Holosuite. I struggle to see these episodes be made

This is how you do fan service. You gotta know your franchise and truly respect it if you are gonna do something like this.

Let’s re-imagine this.

Nov 1996 was a good month for trek fans. A few wks after the episode aired we got First Contact on the big screen.

As much as I loved Season 4 of Enterprise, I feel like this is the only explanation we should have ever gotten about Klingon head ridges.

“Unless you are speaking of the mighty warrior Archer. Only he and his crew are worthy of the truth...”

Best part of Iron Fist was the S3 stinger...so, yeah, I’d like my chi guns plz

If they knew about The Expanse, they would definitely give it paws.

“preserved Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century style”

It always amazes me whenever I hear someone mention this show because apparently EVERYONE saw it but at the same time it has absolutely no presence anywhere.

Ugh.. that time ripple thing immediately moves it out of SF and into Fantasy for me.

youre not missing out

Who’d have thought a show named Discovery would be so ironic? Wat with the complete absence of anything resembling exploration or, ya know, discovery. It’s like the writers either hate Trek, or have no interest in even trying to maintain that tone - bar speechifying and lip service. Lower Decks is the best written

Sabrina Spellman wanted to be a “normal” teen

That series had a lot of potential. The setting was great, in the early years of human exploration, with little knowledge of what was out there and with rudimentary technology. I really like the early episodes. It went downhill with the Xindi story arc.

The subtitles are SO key. The older I get, the more the music and sound fx in movies impairs my ability to understand dialogue. Or maybe they’re just getting louder and making me think it’s my ears, because I can certainly understand people talking in real life.

Watching movies from home is the superior experience in my opinion. Being able to pause, rewind, adjust brightness and volume as needed, and also turning on subtitles (especially for movies where the English accents are thick) are amazing. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Oh, I know one point I was thinking: Battle Widow.

CW’s plans for Babylon 5

In the ‘60s, Tolkien started work on a novel set a little over a century into the Fourth Age, titled The New Shadow, which would have dealt with a bored, restless, and decadent segment of Gondorian society becoming worshippers of Sauron and Morgoth. He abandoned it quickly because he thought the subject matter was too

Very good summary!
