I actually stopped reading after that. I tried but every time I thought it was going to happen, my favourite character was safe and then when I wasn't expecting it, it happened and it ruined me. I just... Couldn't go on anymore.

Do you mean Change on Queen? I've bought stuff there but I found that despite how cheap they were, and despite how the size matched my measurements in theory, they did not work for daily wear. They're very pretty bras and I would absolutely buy them as lingerie...

I go to boutiques, usually, because I prefer trying things on rather than buying online. If you're in Toronto, I highly recommend Tryst (http://www.trystlingerie.com/) but I also know a few places in Waterloo and Ottawa. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find similar boutiques in other metropolitan areas like

I think there's been a difference in quality from season one to season two... I loved the first season. I genuinely enjoyed it and was actually sort of happy to discover it late because I got to consume the entire season in one go.

I'm a 5 - 5.5. But I can comfortably wear a children's 3.5 so... Yeah, my feet baffle me. My ankles roll a lot because they're weirdly twiggy so shoe shopping (which I love!) is an exercise in futility. I just commit to the pain and as I'm getting older, I'm slowly wearing heels less and less.

Most of shoes don't fit 100% because my feet are different sizes (I would guess a half-size difference) and I have many pairs of very high heels. The pain is ridiculous.

I'm not even kidding - try Payless online first, and then instore. If they don't have your size in stock, they'll tell you where it is and give you a discount. Or they're supposed to.

I wish I could wear wedges but I have really narrow feet and ankles that roll - if the wedges fit (a rare dream!), they usually look like I'm wearing clown shoes or, because I can't tighten them with straps, I roll my ankles and end up crashing to the floor. I find there's a tiny bit more fit to pumps, or at least,

I've gotten it in other provinces, from family members, from strangers, in bathrooms... Literally, everywhere.

I definitely agree that it's socialized. There's a socio-cultural perception, I think, that men require 'arm candy' and women require 'providers' regardless of looks.

I just keep thinking you're sending vibrator-thoughts her way and... It's making me giggle. Sorry, that's immature, and I know that.

Thank you for the recommendation - I had an argument about racial identity recently due to a family member (who benefits from white privilege) applying for university and checking off 'visible minority' because that's "the only way he's getting in." I've been looking for books on the topic!

Community (always my top pick!)

I only read the first thirty or forty comments but I can I just say that the vast majority made me smile? On a side note, a lot of people have been talking about how fan-dominated arenas like fanfiction have long had porn and smut in great quantity and quality... That is so unbelievably true, it's amazing.

Your sidenote made me laugh out loud. That is all.

Canada isn't race-blind and I don't know where that myth emerged - I think it's part of our national mythology that we're a "diverse, multicultural land of immigrants" and "tolerant" so maybe that translates to race-blind for some but it's not a term I generally hear and not something that I, personally, as a

This is coming way, way late but I just read this piece over at Feministing and you know what? Can I leave it here? I'm just going to leave it here...

I'm not a mum but I know people who have had both c-sections and vaginal deliveries and from what I understand, at least in Ontario, Canada (where I am), most doctors won't allow you to choose a c-section - it's only an offered surgical alternative when vaginal birth is potentially dangerous.

I'm a 30F or a 30G and after I was first properly fitted, I became a bra fitting evangelist!
