I'm not sure where you're situated (geographically) but if you're near an urban centre, you should be able to find a boutique that carries larger sizes but it will likely be fairly pricey... I wear, depending, a 30F or a 30G and I usually spend somewhere between $50 (sale!) - $120 on each bra.

I know it might be a pain but I've always had boutiques tell me to get the straps shortened (as in, hemmed, I suppose?) by a tailor or to do it myself. It's a fairly common and inexpensive (considering how much I spend on my bras) thing to do. Just a suggestion if none of the other recommendations work out!

Er... That sucks! I changed mine to English (UK) for that specific reason!

Thank you! I hate contrast collars (for some indiscernible reason) and have since I first became aware of them as a thing sometime in the late 1990s. Ugh.

I just started watching Freaks and Geeks and I was so proud that I got that reference!

My birthday was two days ago and it gets wiped out in the rest period between Christmas and New Years - people don't forget, exactly, but they don't *care.*

I went back just now to check and I answered "Always. Period." and then added an explanation about having discussed consent prior and safe words. As a caveat, I did that not because I'm in the kink community but because I'm really interested in health promotion and sexual health...

Can I just say, I read all the comments here and couldn't stop smiling because... Yessssssss! People are talking about this and it is a real thing and I have it too and I appreciate the candor and lack of shame. Yay for bringing it up!

You have to go back a few pages but I finally found James, a black male. Oh, and Damien is on page 4!

So, I'm no where near getting married but as a non-white female, there is one reason above all else that I have started thinking about in taking a potential partner's name:

Eye-witness identification has a number of issues that are acknowledged - what we or the judicial system can do to correct for them isn't something I'm comfortable speculating on though I can certainly see the value in considering alternatives or, at least, finding ways to mitigate the potential problems with

I've read about the Central Park 5 and racism, everyone agrees, was a huge factor in their false conviction and subsequent false imprisonment. I don't know the details about Ronald Cotton's case but a quick Google search indicates he's a black male which means that if I read more, I may (or may not) find out that

Oh, I think a handmade card is great - I scrapbook (not very often and not very well) but it does add a really nice, personal touch that is otherwise absent with Hallmark cards. As someone with a four year old nephew, I've seen (and received) quite a few of the construction paper cards with stickers everywhere and I

A few people have mentioned this but I think crafting supplies might be really cool - it's still feminized (crafting in general, unfortunately) but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's an actual skill that involves her designing, creating and producing something whether that be knitting, DIY, art or photography.

I've only been reading Jezebel for about a year and a half but I feel you on how disrespectful and repulsive the comments section is - I'm not black but I am a woman of colour and it's sort of alarming just how racist the comments section on this article is.

Thank you! The sheer number of people expressing racist sentiments and/or insisting that the writer didn't really *need* to talk about race because 'racial politics are different/not an issue in a sex club' is mind-boggling...

I would think that was awesome. And it means I can buy half-price chocolate as a present (so can he!) and we can have a great date with a full menu on a night that won't be ridiculously over-crowded wherever we go (if we go out).

I did need that, thank you. And now I'm done reading the comments here so there's a possibility I'll be able to sleep tonight...

My mom thought I looked better with short hair (and also felt I didn't take care of my chin length 'long' hair) so she used to have my sister (who was only four years older) cut my hair. With an electric razor. I cried every time. I got made fun of every time.

Echoing what pretty much everyone else has said, I don't think you're going to be able to find bras under $40 that are attractive, comfortable and supportive. I'm in Canada (and I've only ever lived in major urban centres) and yet, I've had no luck. I would recommend looking up specialty or lingerie boutiques which
