@13oostedwgn: Yep.
The other day in Redwood City, CA I drove next to a dark/light silver Veyron. The 30-something driver was doing about 28 miles an hour in a 35 and talking on his phone. Then, naturally, pulled into a gas station.
@graverobber: Isn't "pimped-out pantera" kind of redundant?
Unimog, Vanagon Synchro, Defender 110, or 1988 Toyota 4x4 (sweet, I have that one!)
Cougar wagon sounds like what I pick up divorcées in
We had one of these back in the day, and it was indeed bulletproof. It slipped it's e-brake and popped out of 1st gear and rolled down a 10% grade driveway and jumped off an embankment... still ran, but the tailgate was busted.
This sounds a dyslexic child's reading of M-B's Geländewagen.
Rinspeed, you so crazy!
I saw both of these when I was really young, which could explain why I'm here. The Lotus was like "ooh, that's neat..." whereas the Countach introduced to me to what arousal was.
"You're taking the "safety" part of "safety razor" too literally, grandma. Cut the strings and soar. Let's hit it. Let's roll. This is our chance to make razor history. Let's dream big. All you have to do is say that five blades can happen, and it will happen."
@B: Yes, big engines in anything are cool, but as we should all know by now, the more obscure/weird recipient of said large engine the cooler. Thus the inspiration of countless PCHs. Large engines in wagons are just EXTRA cool. What, are you new?
That's the difference between Autobild and the Jalop...
Ford's take on the Acura MDX is cool, for sure, but let's be serious. It's a Ford,
I assure you, mine will have the roof-rack spotlights. It'll need extra lighting so it doesn't overdrive it's headlights doing 150 in the snow at night. Maybe I'll have a shovel and a jack, too, Land Rover style.
I love Audi's more than anything. The whole concept of a kickass diesel R8 makes me want to dry hump any/everything. However:
Interesting choice to put a CLS55 front clip on it
The Delta Integrale always gets me going, and while I know it's fat/slow/blahblah I still think the original R32 is one of the best looking hatches ever and was one of those off-beat ambitious concepts that actually made it.
If you look closely, they didn't snap the wing off at all, it's a wing that raises and lowers into the back of the car. Moderately acceptable as with 600bhp you'll probably need something to hold you down, but it looks better without it soooo... good idea.
