It has to be a car that I really need and already checked a couple of stores for.
Like I am matching a buddies real car and I know it exists.
There are not mad collectable cars, just ones that are exceeding my level of effort. 

Give these folks the freedom to go mask optional while they wait for a hearing in the holding center. 

I know I shouldn’t feed the scalpers but I will go as high as $15 including shipping for one I really want.
Three trips to the store and that is where I would be on gas.

Eventually some plucky little car maker is going to figure out how to make a minimum viable product car that they can sell at a profit.

Then all the legacy car makers are going to come back to making the little cars again.

Fun little electric town cars make sense to me and if the price was good I might get one.
It just needs to be fun, it would be a second car so it only needs around 100mi of range, and it needs to be cheapish.

Mechanical ignition systems. It isn’t hard but there are multiple things to adjust and each of them will rattle out of adjustment every few thousand miles.
Gapping the points is a pain in the ass, dragging out the timing light is a bear, figuring there is some stupid vacuum leak that made the last half hour of work

The Hyundai just wanted to be like a really cool VW.

I have been buying cars for close to 30 years.
