I have tried the IV hangover cure and let me tell you that works fast. I worked with a bunch of medics and they were allowed to practice giving IVs on willing volunteers. They told me to swing by the aid station to try it. I tried while I had one of those hangovers where your eyes feel rusted shut and your mouth

When I start my car shopping in ernest I will have to use this phrase on the sales drones and see which ones play along for the sake of a sale.

I suspect that airline customer service does not scale very well.

I still haven't flown with them. I withhold judgement.

I like the following short list of airlines in order from best to shittiest.

I fly regularly and American is by a decent margin the worst real airline I have flown with. The folks that are paid by them are simply the worst in the business.

Gas mileage is largely a function of aerodynamics these days. Sedans now have pretty much optimum shape for the requirements. These little guys have pretty shitty aero. The little guys are great if you never get to go above 35 and need to park in the space no-one else will brave.

What if they brought back the lovely open metal roof rack like they had for the VW type 1? It would be rough on the milage but it would be light weight and pretty charming.

These days I flip my phone into Airplane Mode and leave it in my pocket until we reach cruising height, but I am not going to turn it all the way off.

If you are close to shore, you can use 3/4 g wireless. If you are not into video it is not that bad. If you are away from shore there isn't much that works with any kind of speed

Pretty darn expensive. Large slips (boat parking spots) with power and sewage are very expensive and in popular harbors generally have a waiting list. A rough rule of thumb is that a yacht will cost 10% of its initial cost in upkeep yearly at a minimum. Is this beast really worth spend 8 figures in upkeep over a 3 million dollar dispute. this boat will eat its owner alive.

I got so used to how mine looked with headers and missing all the heating tin, that the engine just looked kind of weird.

But if you are going to fly a piston NA plane with very marginal power, the tiny bit extra power you get from nice cold air is worth the discomfort.

I believe that is why they rent them from most car rental places. Empty mini-vans are more fun to slalom than you might expect, 15 passenger vans less so.
