It’s like Shenmue....but good.
It’s like Shenmue....but good.
Add the Resonance of Fate rerelease that came out yesterday that is just asking for trouble.
I’m so glad GIs don’t cost meter anymore. That was the thing I hated most about SC5. Now, here’s hoping Sc6 doesn’t have some ridiculous system exploit that kills the fun (looking at you Step/Guard), and if does, then here’s hoping Bamco fixes that shit right away.
There’s one Saturn emulator that’s really good, BUT it requires a pretty powerful processor to run properly.
Can’t speak for other esports, but at fighting game events attendees don’t just come to watch. They come to participate in the tournament(s). Once they’re knocked out, they alternate between watching a couple matches and playing against others who have also been eliminated. The environment is more like an arcade…
I love this series, but they’ve got to be some of the worst games for streaming.
costs less than 80 dollars.
Sir, I’d like to tell you about about our lord and savior “Card” ability and his friends “Refine Magic”.
Littlesiha wouldn’t perhaps be happier with an actual dance performance job, rather than just repeating videogame levels ad nauseam.
“Dragon Quest is all about showing the player stuff they can’t do yet.”
Calling a goose an asshole is just redundant.
I used to share that view point, but this era of patching has completely changed my stance. Worst case scenario, that physical disc on your shelf is unusable without the “day 1" patch. Even in a best case, the game may still be playable, but you’ll have to do without the many minor fixes and/or free additions…
Look at Ninja Gaiden for example: You died at the final boss and had to use one of your (unlimited) continues? Now you get thrown back 3 levels before the final boss.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. Square published Bushido Blade when they were actually interested in doing cool new things. They’re clearly not that company anymore.
“Modern” Ninja Gaiden is pretty far removed from its NES predecessors. Platforming has been mostly be discarded in favor of tough moment to moment combat. Large move sets per weapon, wall running that allows you to reposition faster, air juggling, rolling with i-frames, enemies with complex attack patterns, etc.
No need to recommend Nioh. I’ve already put in over 100 hrs and am eagerly awaiting the sequel. Still, as someone who also ranks Ninja Gaiden (Black, in particular) as one of their all time favs, you can understand why I want Team Ninja to bring their brand of ninja to do some badass ninja-ing. In short, I just want…
Souls + Ninja Gaiden + Tenchu. I’m in.
This is great news. Blades of the Shogun was a wonderful surprise at the tail end of 2016, but I was afraid, due to its late release, that Mimimi didn’t turn a profit. Looks like my fears were unfounded.
The only Langrisser game to come over officially was during the Genesis/Mega Drive era. Sadly, if you want to play the other titles in english, emulation is your only option. There is also the Growlancer series, which is a...sort of continuation of Langrisser, but those are PS2 releases.
Assuming this isn’t some mobile BS, and Langrisser manages to recapture some semblance of an audience, does that in turn mean Growlancer isn’t completely dead?
