It’s a great time to be a Star Wars comic/movie fan, but NOT a great time for fans of Star Wars games. Yeesh. I hope someone who was/is looking forward to this game chimes in because I’d love to hear their take on all this. The inclusion of Star Cards in any form sounds terrible to me, but I’m not the type of person

So I can definitely see Lap Chi banning these two from next year’s Canada Cup (probably longer), but I wonder if they’ll face any fallout from other TOs.

I agree, but perhaps it’ll delve into “so bad it’s good” territory.

When I first heard of this game, I was hoping for wolves holding blades...preferably in their mouths. That hope has been shattered, but this is cool too.

I am so thankful my multiplayer genres of choice are less than ideal for this kind of BS. Sucks to be an FPS fan though. Seems like they’re the prime targets for some of the worst practices big corps are employing.

Cuphead: the Alien Soldier of this generation. (There will probably only be, like, three or four people who know wtf I’m talking about).

Go Speedkicks (cuz I’m a Hwoarang main)!!!

Yeah, it’s not a business model I’m fond of either, but I also can’t fault ArcSys for not fucking over the business partners (Japanese arcades) that have kept them afloat all these years. Also, you don’t have to buy the whole game again. If you owned Rev1, then the price is $20. My hope is ArcSys has finally figured

That animation is so spot on. Thanks for the heads up, Heather. This is definitely going on my “to watch” list. Btw, that video clip also works with Metal Gear Solid music:

Maaaan, I wish more people were willing to jump on the Rev2 train. It’s such a fun game.

The stones kind of remind me of a less complex (and less interesting) Groove system from CvS. I can see what Capcom was going for, but it still remains to be seen if they can actually balance MvC:I enough where one stone doesn’t become the “pick this or lose” tool.

I’ve heard great things about Radiata Stories throughout the years. Too bad it’s not readily available digitally. I’d pick it up regardless if it is a bit clunky by today’s standards.

lol. This was the first thing that came to my mind too.

Yeah, I would do terrible things to get my hands on one of these.

Sadly, my low end laptop can’t run this as well as I would like, so it looks like the PS4 version is the one I’ll be getting. Is this yet another sign that double A games are on the coming back in style? I hope so because the vast majority of AAA don’t interest me at all.

It’s fine if it’s dumb. The question is if it’ll be an enjoyable kind of dumb. Here’s an example: The Fast and Furious franchise is beyond stupid, but I still love them because they crank the absurdity to over 9000. Will Tomb Raider go that direction or will it try to play it straight faced? Only time will tell.

Whelp, I hope it’s at least mildly entertaining. Not digging the whole “fate of humanity is in your hands” schtick, but I guess the studios want to make Lara’s work seem REALLY important.

Man, the Japanese really do love standing in line, don’t they?

I can’t believe you linked that whack ass opening when the Rockapella version is so easily found:

It reminds you of Herzog Zwei? I think you might have just sold me on this game.
