The title of this week’s podcast is exactly what I’ve been thinking. Every game I’m planning to play in the next few months is Japanese.

I can’t think of any console that had a launch lineup that was particularly impressive.

It seems like all the Japanese games are front loaded this year. We still have Nioh in February, NieR:Automata in March followed by Persona 5 in April.

Clearly you’ve forgotten the N64 launch line-up. It had a whopping TWO games: Pilot Wings and Super Mario 64.

I notice either having kids or taking care of kids regularly vastly changes your view of the WiiU. My nieces, ages 5 and 7, are a constant presence in my life and the WiiU has been a godsend for keeping them entertained. At that age, they don’t care about having a variety of games, they want to play the same 2 or 3…

Extra thoughts since I can’t edit my OP anymore:

My two favorite Platinum games, Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2, are the reason I bought a WiiU. Strangely, Nintendo 1st party titles are typically not the reason I buy their consoles. More often than not, it’s their 2nd party stuff that gets me.

Guess I’m in the minority. Never had this problem once. In fact, I typically have an avg of 100gb to spare.

NeiR:Automata definitely has a lot of combo potential. Here’s Donguri, one of the best DMC players around, showing that potential off.

Yeah, I kind of mis-explained that; James Cameron also directed Aliens and has had that kind of military aesthetic running through his movies since the 80's. Avatar was just the latest of his to use it.
