Yeah this is my issue with the whole thing. This whole “Well... eeakchually it’s not gambling...” defense is both really pedantic and hand-wavey.

Even if it’s not “gambling,” that doesn’t mean it isn’t playing on the same exact psychological appeals that gambling does. And when they give people the ability to pay actual money for the loot boxes—even children—that’s just super poor form. It makes me think back to comments that Jonathan Blow made in a game design…
Well according to the ESRB (and to be clear I am not agreeing with their position, merely restating it) while yes you are spending real money you are not gambling. You’re just purchasing randomized content.
They are saying that because you always get something from a loot box it isn’t the same thing as spending money and losing like when you gamble. You may not get that legendary item but you’re still getting stuff.
Hey man, basically everything west of the Hudson River is “flyover country” for these people, so you can’t possibly expect them to know that Macomb Township is in a completely different county than Detroit.
I knew the second I posted it that another Michigan person would add that. But given how poor the current writers seem to understand the area, this might be a bit too much for them.
Worse still, they just said a city was within another city....that’s baffling to me. They didn’t say “near Detroit” they said “in Detroit”. Why? How hard is this shit to get right?
Similar to how the Pontiac Silverdome is nowhere near Detroit, Macomb Township is nowhere near Detroit itself.
FYI - Macomb Township is about 35 miles north of Detroit, so about as close as Greenwich CT is from the Gawker HQ in Manhattan.
South California University sounds like a school without any good bars
They made just 1, for Kristen, long before she was born.
For all we know, that Tesla is a salvage car. Salvage title usually equals “permit to do fuckery.”
They didn’t ruin a thing...The car could be reassembled in a matter of hours. Meanwhile, he tried something cool and his YouTube videos garner a couple million views apiece. Try to cheer up.
Skill set from the other end of spectrum but will also suit the situation well.

Pretty sure that both the NHRA and IHRA put exemptions in for stock cars that run faster than 11.50, stating that a cage isn’t necessary until 10 flat, but I could be wrong.
12V powers all the computers, etc, on the car. It needs to be there to do safety checks and then power on the high voltage battery relays. Those are off when the car is off for safety.
That’s nowhere close to what I thought it would run...
Was driving my 1994 Saturn down the highway, returning to Tulsa from Kansas City. Out in the middle of nowhere, about 2 in the morning. Drove into a massive storm, so I hit the wipers. A few minutes later, the passenger side arm stops straight up, the driver side smacks into it and bends the passenger side arm and…
