Money is fungible. Money is allocated in order to meet expected demand. If you're allocating money to Medicare then that money is not being allocated to a variety of other things.

It had plenty of both. People just had stupid expectations of what that means. The choices affect the story even if they don't drastically alter the plot. Stories are about what meaning you draw away from the characters' struggles. Not the fact that everyone dies at the end.

Do you honestly believe that unpaid internships are unpaid because it's women doing them? That's not how it works.
